Hello. Thank you for your question. Cycling shorts are designed to fit snug, like a second skin, so that they offer good muscle compression during your ride and this also helps to keep the pad from shifting around as well. Muscle compression is good for several reasons (more on that below) and, of course, keeping the chamois pad in place during your ride is key (no one wants chafing!).
