Hello. Laying flat on a table, a 2XL measures about 45 inches circumference at the chest, while a 3XL is 51 inches. The fabric naturally stretches when you wear it and cycling jerseys are designed to be relatively close to the skin, which is why the size chart dimensions are listed by the rider's chest circumference.
This jersey has a more relaxed fit than a skin tight race cut jersey, but if you're looking for a looser fit still then perhaps sizing up to a 4XL could work, though my guess is that that would be too big for you. Not knowing you or your body type, etc. I would say the 3XL (50-54 chest) seems like the best place to start. Our size charts are generally very true to form and we can always help you with an exchange if it comes to it.
Thanks again and please let us know what we can do to help out.
