Hello. Every manufacturer is different so I can't speak for another company, but our product listings always include product-specific size charts that are true to form. Everyone's body type and preference on fit can vary, but our size chart included in the listing should be the best guide for you because we base it off of our patterns that we use to actually cut the fabric by hand for each item:
If your true waist measurement (which may differ from your pant size) is 35-36 then you'll probably be most comfortable in a Large for this item (36-38 waist; Medium is 32-34). If it comes to it, we always make exchanges and returns very easy going and painless as well.
