Hello. There is not a rear pocket but there are 2 pockets at the hips and 1 at the left lapel. All three have zippers as well.
The rear material is the same as the front and there are not vents (to help keep it a thermal jacket). The material is breathable but it is designed as our warmest jacket (i.e., for very cold weather) so if you're wearing the jacket in temperatures that are too warm and you start sweating then there is only so much that can be done about breathability.
We all have different temperature tolerances, but generally this jacket is designed for use around the freezing mark and below. You can still get away with it in the 40s F to some degree but warmer than that and you would probably be better suited going with a midweight jacket or something lighter.
