Hello. Both pads are in our high mileage category. The Elite chamois is our thickest pad in our product line: 15mm thick at the sit bones. It also has a mid-density gel layer at the sit bones as well.
The Century pad is 13mm thick at the sit bones and is all foam; there is no gel layer like in the Elite Shorts.
Both shorts are popular among the high mileage/long distance crowd but it just comes down to personal preference for what you are looking for.
