Hello. The size chart for this item is as follows:
...though this item does run a bit big so with a 44 waist you'd most likely be more comfortable in an XX-Large or maybe even X-Large. We always include a return/exchange form too just in case you order 2 sizes and return one or need to exchange a size if your original size doesn't fit.
