Hello. This item does have a fleece lining so it may be a bit too warm for your climate. However, we do make a few different skull caps, do rags and headbands out of our much lighter 100% polyester fabric (just like our short sleeve cycling jerseys. The do rag would offer the most sun protection for the back of your neck (if that is your main concern) but wouldn't be full protection like this thermal hood.
