Hello. We base our size charts on your actual waist size, which may be a little different from your size in jeans, for example. To measure your actual waist, take a circumference measurement around your natural waist around your hip pointers, just below your belly button.
Each product listing includes a product-specific size chart that should be true to form. Most of our shorts are designed for Small being a 28-30 waist and Medium being 32-34. If you are truly in between sizes then most riders make the judgment based on their body type and preference on fit. You want the shorts to fit snug like a second skin but, of course, you don't want them to be too tight or restrictive. On the other hand, if they're too loose you can run the risk of the pad shifting as you ride and loose fabric bunching up. And we can always help with returns or exchanges too, if needed: Returns & Exchanges.
