Is the waste band/drawstring elastic?
Just wondering if either are elastic or if the shorts are just secured by tightening string. Like, will they have some hold around waste if drawstring isn't tightened?

Hello. There is some light elastic built into the waistband but it won't hold the shorts up on its own. The drawstring needs to be tightened and secured to really hold them up.
