Hello. We generally have more of an "American fit" compared to many of our competitors who manufacture overseas and/or have more of a Euro or Asian fit.
This vest is designed to fit snug so that it doesn't flap around in the wind but to give you an idea, when the vest is just laying flat on a table the 3XL measures 52 inches circumference at the armpits, 4XL is 54 inches and 5XL is 58 inches.
