Hello. Yes, you won't have trouble stashing some snacks, a wallet, phone, etc. in the pockets. The pockets in the Medium I wore to commute to work this morning measure about 5-1/2"x6" or so (it's not a perfect square shape). As you add more weight, of course, the pockets will be more likely to be pulled a bit as you wear the jersey. But lightweight options like gels, your id/bank card, etc. aren't even too noticeable when they're in the pockets.
Regarding stock, we're still trying to get caught up on the sewing floor from all of the COVID shutdowns, but if you select your size (even if it is grayed out) you will be prompted to sign up for an email notification as soon as it is back in stock. And we also use this info to plan production too. Right now Medium and Large are in production and should be back in stock very, very soon, in fact.
