Hello. This nylon/spandex fabric blend is not specifically rated for chlorine exposure, but some people still use our compression shorts/tights for swimming in chlorinated pools. The fabric is not guaranteed to last as long in this environment, however. Rising/washing relatively soon after each swim will prolong the fabric's lifespan but these just aren't rated for chlorine like our jammers, trunks and briefs are.
Regarding sizing, please follow the product-specific size chart in each listing by waist size (your actual waist size, which may vary slightly from your "jeans size," for example).
