Hello. The Beet Root color of the ECO Jersey (JM950) and this Zenith Purple color option are certainly in the same family and complementary, I would say: 
But they are not the exact same shade, no. And in person they are both a bit darker than they're showing up in this photo above, for what it is worth. That must just be a drawback of the camera on my phone or the lighting in the office here or something.
