Hello. We always include a product-specific size chart in each listing that should be true to form. We always recommend taking accurate measurements of yourself and ordering according to the size chart, yes. This shirt is definitely a snug compression fit as well. If you would like a semi-compression fit then you can go up a size but to get the compression fit we recommend ordering according to the size chart.
