Hello. The liner is not removable, no. It is sewn in.
The liner also isn't really a chamois pad in the tradition of a cycling-specific pad. It is mainly there to wick moisture from the swim. But our Classic Triathlon Shorts may be more what you're looking for. This style has a lightweight chamois that offers some sit bone support for the cycling leg but it is not too thick to be annoying during the swim or run legs of the race. And it has very innovative aeration lines too to aid in drying once you get out of the water too.
But please let us know questions you have: 1-800-783-8326 or orders@aerotechdesigns.com. We're always happy to help.
Thanks!
