Is the padding removable for if this is being used as a layer over bike shorts that already have a pad?

Looking for something of this material that is needed for periodic parts of a long bike ride (ie no changing room needed)

Hello. The chamois is sewn in place so it is not removable. But we do make an unpadded version here (as well as an unpadded fleece version here that is a little warmer) that you can simply wear over padded shorts and then remove it when/if needed. We also make leg and knee warmers to wear in conjunction with padded shorts that are easy to put on and remove mid-ride as well.
