Hello. The chamois pad is sewn into the shorts and it is not removable. We display the pad beside the shorts in the product photos just to display the chamois, but it is actually permanently sewn in.
You can wash the shorts all as one in your washer (we recommend cold water, gentle cycle, mild detergent) and then just let them air dry rather than put them in a heated dryer.
